HIGHLIGHTS
Floral Park 79, South Side 77: Kevin Cluess' block in the final seconds helped preserve Floral Park's (12-7) Nassau Class A first round win over top-seeded South Side (15-3). Cluess' layup with a minute remaining put the Knights on top 78-75. Nick Jounakos was fouled in the act of shooting and made one of two free throws with 30 seconds left that gave the Knights a 79-77 lead. Cluess had 41 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Jounakos added 11 points and seven rebounds. Jimmy Guerriero had eight points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Brian Fox had eight points and three steals. John Cheslock led South Side with 31 points. Floral Park advances to the quarterfinals to take on host and No. 9 Manhasset on Feb. 20.
