HIGHLIGHTS
Brandon Deveau made a wide-open layup underneath the basket at the buzzer to lift Carle Place over Cold Spring Harbor, 76-74, in overtime yesterday in Nassau Conference B boys basketball. Guard Omar Martinez, in his first game back after missing a month because of a quad injury, made a steal with 10 seconds left in overtime and then passed to point guard Austin Topel. The Seahawks (5-4) swarmed to the ball and trapped Topel near half-court, but Topel was able to heave a pass and find Deveau, who was alone near the basket. Chris Kelly's layup tied it at 67 with one minute left in regulation and sent the game into overtime for Carle Place (6-3), which rallied from a 10-point deficit early in the fourth quarter. Lucas Golon scored 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Frogs. Wes Szajna led CSH with 26 points.
