Newfield 47, Smithtown West 43: Senior Jarell Cowell became the second player in Newfield history to score 1,000 points. "He did it in style," coach Anthony Agostino said. Cowell had 30 points, including eight in the last two minutes, to lead Newfield (5-7) in the League III win. "Never in my life have I been so blessed to coach someone like this," Agostino said. "He's so humble. He didn't even know he had 1,000 points. Everyone in the gym knew."
