Shelter Island 73, Greenport 66: Matt BeltCappellino scored 25 points and Billy Doeklen, a sophomore junior varsity player who was called up for the playoffs, scored a career-high 21 points to lead Shelter Island (11-9) in the Suffolk Class D final at Longwood. Tristen Wissemann added 17 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists for Shelter Island. Gavin Dibble scored his 1,000th career point during the game, according to Shelter Island coach Mike Mundy. Shelter Island will face the winner of the Class C championship on Wednesday at Northport.
