Floyd 48, Longwood 36: Nick Tarry and 8th grader Jermaine King both scored 10 points to help lead Floyd (2-0) in Suffolk I. King scored seven of his 10 points in the 4th quarter including a steal and three-point basket in the closing minutes to help seal the game. Brian Benson's defensive energy and rebounding sparked the Colonials to a 20 point 4th quarter. Floyd held Longwood to 12 points in the first half. Mekhi Kelly (nine points) and Kentrell Simmons (eight points) led the way for Longwood. Floyd travels to Smithtown East on Sunday for their first Non-League game at 9am.
