Sachem North 86, Connetquot 57: James Butler entered the week needing 82 points in his final two varsity games to reach the 1,000-career varsity point milestone. Mission accomplished. The senior point guard, who will attend LIU Post and place lacrosse next season, ended the game with 42 points hitting a long three-pointer from the top of the key midway through the fourth quarter. Coach Matt Candemeres immediately called timeout as Butler was subbed out with five rebounds and five assists for Sachem North (5-7) in Sufffolk II. Anthony Holloway added 11 points and seven rebounds in the win. Butler ends the season with 62 three-pointers made this season, a Sachem program record. Johnny Melville had 29 points for Connetquot.
