Newfield 62, Smithtown West 47: Senior Colin Cassara scored his seventh point of the game on a three-pointer less than three minutes into the first quarter to pass Jarell Cowell for first place on Newfield's all-time scoring list in the Wolverines Suffolk III win. Cowell set the record of 1,056 in 2015. Cassara made 17 of 22 free throws and finished with 31 points. He now has 1,081 points during his varsity tenure. Devin Ward added 14 points, Ziggy Hoe added seven points and 10 rebounds and Isaiah Seawright had 17 rebounds to help Newfield (6-5) clinch a playoff berth.
