Hampton Bays 54, West Islip 51: Steve Mora hit a 65-foot shot off the backboard at the buzzer following an inbounds play with four seconds left to break a tie at 51 for Hampton Bays (3-0) in non-league. "I've been doing this for a long time and that's as good of an ending we've had," coach Pete Meehan said. "A nice home crowd and you don't see a lot of games end like that. Maybe on TV." Lucas Brown (nine points, 12 rebounds) completed a three-point play with 51 seconds left to tie the score at 51 for Hampton Bays. Mora finished with 15 points and four assists and Jack McNamara had 13 points in the win.
