East Rockaway vs Plainedge

East Rockaway 6, Plainedge 2: Gianna Mancusi's single in the top of the fifth drove in Najeri Felton to tie the game at 2. Mancusi scored later in the inning following a Emily Chelius walk to give East Rockaway (2-3) a 3-2 lead in its Nassau AB-II win. Chelius continued to second base following the walk and was thrown out trying to advance, but Mancini was able to scamper home. Chelius pitched a complete game five-hitter, struck out 11 and allowed no earned runs and three walks. Siobhan Perini's two-run single in the seventh drove in Adriana Ramirez and Chelius to give East Rockaway a 6-2 lead. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on second and third and two outs, Felton ranged to her left in the first base hole, turned and fired to first to preserve the 3-2 margin.
