HIGHLIGHTS
Brianna Pinto went 2-for-4, including a three-run home run in the second inning to lead No. 1 Carey (18-2) over No. 8 Glen Cove in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class A playoffs. Rebecca Vilchez went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Jenna Turato tossed six shutout innings, allowing three hits and one walk with six strikeouts. Carey advances to play No. 4 New Hyde Park in the semifinals on Monday.
