Plainedge 3, Glen Cove 2: Taylor Curran's RBI double in the third gave fourth-seeded Plainedge a 3-2 lead in their Class A first round win over thirteenth-seeded Glen Cove. Nicole Francisco threw a complete game, allowed two runs on seven hits, struck out 11 and walked one. Francisco's two-RBI single in the first inning gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead. Plainedge (11-6) will face the winner of Bethpage/New Hyde Park Saturday at Plainedge.
