Elmont 6, Hempstead 5: Sophomore Steven Girdhari pitched a no-hitter, with four walks and no earned runs allowed to lead Elmont (4-2) in the Countywide League. "He was throwing hard today and he was hitting spots with his fastball," Ed McCormack said. Girdhari also went 2-for-4 with two RBI, including a seventh-inning single that made the score 6-3. Hempstead scored two of its five unearned runs in the seventh inning.
