Oceanside vs Syosset

Oceanside 2, Syosset 0: Pat Broder drove in Matt Edelman in the second inning to lead No. 10 Oceanside (10-9-1) over No. 7 Syosset in a Nassau AA first round game. Chris Hood allowed seven hits and a walk and struck out four in a complete game. Nick Vlahakis made a diving catch in center field to end the game with runners on first and third. Oceanside moves on to the best-of-three quarterfinals which will begin on Monday.
