Hempstead vs Roosevelt

Roosevelt 12, Hempstead 2: Danis Rodriguez and Marc Villeda combined to throw a no-hitter in countywide. Villeda started and threw two innings, striking out five. Rodriguez threw five innings and struck out seven and earned the win. "They both got ahead of batters and threw strikes. They both kept hitters off balence with good off speed pitches," coach Adam Stiles said. Darween Canela hit two home runs in the win. Canela went 3-for-4 with seven RBI. Kelvin Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple for Roosevelt (3-4).
