MacArthur 1, Syosset 0: Rob Andreoli singled, stole second and eventually came around to score the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning for No. 1 MacArthur (19-3) in its 1-0 win over No. 7 Syosset (15-9). Adam Heidenfelder tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits, while striking out nine and walking one. Carmine Criscione pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while striking out one and walking none for the win. Zach Greenspan pitched a six-hitter through 10 innings, striking out 10 and walking two for the Braves. The Generals will play at Syosset in Game 2 of the Nassau Class AA semis at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
