Shoreham-Wading River 13, Southampton 0 (F/5): Senior Chelsea Hawks pitched a five-inning perfect game with 14 strikeouts to lead Shoreham-Wading River (11-1) in League VII. This is the first perfect game of Hawks' four-year varsity career. This is her fifth straight shutout of the season and she set a new school record for career shutouts with 22, according to coach Christina Shiffman. "Chelsea made every pitch work today and dominated the game," Shiffman said. "This is her second school record of the season and it's definitely the best year of her career." The old record was 21, set by Yvonne Dylan from 1978-82. Caitlin Mirabell went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and two runs and Erin Whelan went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
