HIGHLIGHTS
Mt. Sinai 3, Miller Place 2: Emma Wimmer pitched a complete game, allowed one earned run, eight hits, one walk and struck out nine to lead No. 3 Mount Sinai (20-4) past No. 4 Miller Place in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. Wimmer got the final batter of the game to ground out with the potential tying and go-ahead runs on first and second base. In the bottom of the second inning, Sam Valenti doubled to drive in Alexa Skulnick to open the scoring, Alaina Reilly singled to drive in Emily Burris and Reilly scored later in the inning on a throwing error to cap a three-run frame. Mount Sinai will play No. 2 Sayville in the Suffolk A championship Monday at Noon at Sayville.
