Commack 6, Lindenhurst 5: Ariana Arato hit a walk-off single to score Sabrina Sussman in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead No. 1 Commack (20-1) over No. 13 Lindenhurst in the Suffolk AA Winner's bracket semifinals. Gianna Vinuti had an RBI single to drive in Lindsay Carone to tie the score at 5 in the bottom of the fifth inning. Carol Ann Campsey and Stephanie Afonso had back-to-back triples in the bottom of the second inning for Commack. Emmi Katz earned the win, pitching three and one-thirds innings, entering the game in the fifth inning, allowing no runs on no hits, striking out three and walking two. Commack faces No. 2 Longwood in the semifinals at Commack High School on Saturday, May 26 at noon.
