Sayville 8, Mt. Sinai 7: Maria Buffardi hit for a fielder's choice to bring home Julia Kaczmarek, capping off a five-run seventh inning and leading No. 2 Sayville (19-1) over No. 3 Mt. Sinai in the second round of the Suffolk Class A Playoffs. Sayville was down 7-3 going into the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded and one out, Kaczmarek hit a bases clearing double and advanced to third on the throw home to knot the score at seven. Mt. Sinai's Holly McNair hit two home runs and Hailey LaGiudice hit one.
