HIGHLIGHTS

Babylon 12, Center Moriches 0: Allie Stanya pitched a complete game striking out 13 with no runs and giving up two hits and three walks to lead No. 1 Babylon to their second straight Suffolk Class B Championship over No. 2 Center Moriches in a best of three series. "Allie is the team leader as far as pitching is concerned," Coach Rick Punzone said. " She's the catalyst for our team. She's been the leader the last four years and she put the team on her back in this playoff run." In the two playoff games against Center Moriches, Stanya's totaled 14 innings with 28 strikeouts, no runs and five hits. At bat, Julia Vella and Emily bell were both 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Vella had one run scored and Bell had two. Molly Cummings and Michelle Ruggiero were both 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Cummings had two RBIs. Babylon's won three of the last four Class B Championships and will be looking to make another appearance in the state championship. They'll face the Nassau winner in the Long Island Championship next thursday at Hofstra.
