Floyd 8, Whitman 0: Jenna Klaus hit a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning to lead No. 10 Floyd (13-8) over No. 15 Whitman in the second round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Jayna Rios hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning for Floyd. Johanna Metz hit a two-run in the bottom of the sixth inning for Floyd. Klaus earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing no run on five hits, striking out four and walking five. Floyd faces No. 8 Bay Shore in the quarterfinals at Bay Shore High School on Wednesday, May 23 at 4 p.m.
