East Meadow 13, Port Washington 6: Sam Reyes hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead No. 1 East Meadow (14-5) over No. 8 Port Washington in the Nassau AA quarterfinals. Reyes finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Jenna Laird went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Isabella Shepherd had three hits and one RBI. Christina Loeffler had two hits. Loeffler earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, striking out 15 and walking five. Maddie Gallagher hit a two-run home run for Port Washington. East Meadow faces No. 4 Oceanside in the best-of-three game semifinals on Monday.
