East Meadow 1, Long Beach 0: Jenna Laird scored off a single from Christina Loeffler after hitting a single and stealing second and third to lead No. 1 East Meadow (18-2) over No. 3 Long Beach in game one of three of the Nassau AA Champions. Laird was 2-for-3. Loeffler pitched a complete-game with seven strikeouts and two hits. Gianna Azzato had one hit and two stolen bases. Long Beach pitcher Tonianne Larson also pitched a complete-game with five strikeouts and four hits. East Meadow will play Long Beach on Wednesday in game two at Mitchell Field.
