Smithtown East 7, Half Hollow Hills West 4: Tori Hussey's one-out grand slam in the fifth inning broke a 2-2 tie to lead No. 6 Smithtown East (16-5) over No. 11 Half Hollow Hills West in the first round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Hussey's grand slam gave the Bulls a 6-2 lead. Ashley DeGiorgio went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and struck out four in a complete game win. Samantha Swenson went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Smithtown East will visit Deer Park on Wednesday.
