Wantagh vs Seaford

Wantagh 3, Seaford 1: Shayna DeRosa's double knocked in winning pitcher Haley Monahan, and later, Jill Collins' two-out single plated Erica Estero in the top of the eighth inning for No. 13 Wantagh (7-10) in a Nassau Class A first-round playoff game. Monahan allowed six hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Eighth-grader Anna Butler was 3-for-3 including a first-inning home run for No. 4 Seaford. Seventh grader Haley Leimbach was 2-for-4 for Wantagh, which tied the score in the top of the fifth inning on a single by Monahan that knocked in Leimbach with two outs.
