East Islip 9, Floyd 3: Courtney Greene's two-run single to score Lauren Crawford and Alise Colandro in the fifth inning gave No. 7 East Islip a 4-3 lead over No. 13 Floyd in the Suffolk AA playoffs. East Islip (17-7) trailed 3-1 entering the fifth inning before scoring five runs in the frame, which Jenny Murphy ledoff with a double. Murphy scored to bring the game to 3-2 after Jackie Carty was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Crawford went 3-for-3 with three runs and Colandro went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Greene went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and scattered seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts in a complete game. East Islip plays at No. 6 West Islip in the Suffolk AA quarterfinals Tuesday at 4:30.
