Mercy vs Southampton

Southampton 6, Mercy 5: Samantha Wesnofske threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts and one earned run and hit a two-run homer to lead No. 3 Southampton over No. 4 Mercy in an elimination game in the Suffolk B playoffs. Taylor Pike went 2-for-3 with two runs and caught a popout with two outs and the go-ahead run at second in the top of the seventh. Southampton (13-9) will face the loser of Babylon and Center Moriches Saturday.
