East Islip 3, Eastport-South Manor 2: Allison Franzese's fake bunt steal with two outs induced a throwing error that allowed Allison Dell'Orto and Jackie Carty to score the tying and winning runs in the fifth inning for East Islip (11-2) in Suffolk League IV. Courtney Greene struck out 12 and scattered seven hits. Greene faced trouble in the sixth, as Eastport-South Manor had runners on first and second with no outs. But catcher Alise Colandro threw out a runner at third base, and later shortstop Carty made an over-the-shoulder catch on a flair to leftfield with two outs to end the inning.
