Island Trees 9, Mepham 0: Kate Valente tossed a five-hit shutout with four strikeouts, and went 2-for-4 with an RBI, to lead Island Trees in non-league. Sam Melendez opened the scoring with a two-run double in the third. Kristin Grieshaber went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Deanna Obremski went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. The victory was the 100th career win for Island Trees coach Mike Bonsignore, who is in his seventh season.
