Connetquot 11, Central Islip 0: Sarah McKeveny pitched a perfect game – her third no hitter this year, said Connetquot coach Tom Anziano – and struck out 16 to lead Connetquot (6-0) in Suffolk II. Hannah Ahmed and Gia Carignan each went 3-for-3. “She was just in total control,” Anziano said of McKeveny. “She struck out eight out of the first nine. There were two ground balls back to her and a third blooped over her and the shortstop threw the girl out. She’s much improved this year. She throws hard, but now she’s got a lot of movement on the ball and has much more command.”
