Island Trees 9, Bellmore JFK 1: Marissa Trezza took a one-hitter into the seventh, finishing the game with seven strikeouts, three hits and one earned run for Island Trees in its non-league opener. Trezza went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Sam Petry went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, one RBI, one walk and a stolen base and Sam Melendez went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs. Hannah Vogt recorded her first varsity hit and RBI for the Bulldogs.
