In the top of the eighth inning Christina Devivo lead off the inning with a single. After advancing to third on a wild pitch and a sacrifice bunt, Madison McKee singled to score Devivo. In the bottom of the eighth inning Deer Park had runners on first and third with two outs. On an attempted steal of second by Deer Park, shortstop Christina Devivo cut off the catcher's throw to second base and threw home to record the final out of the game and seal the win for West Babylon in a Suffolk IV opener. Erin Heslin went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, a walk, and a three-run home run. Devivo 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs. Savino went 3-for-6 with an RBI.
