Islip 8, Mt. Sinai 6: Olivia Verderosa hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth to put No. 4 Islip (16-4) ahead 6-4 en route to its Suffolk A softball semifinal win over No. 1 Mt. Sinai. Alexis Freudenberg went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs and Maddie Feddersen threw a complete game for the win. Islip will play the winner of Shoreham-Wading River/Sayville on Tuesday at 4pm.
