Center Moriches 12, Mercy 3: Kayla Hujber went 4-for-4, with two doubles and four runs scored for top-seeded and host Center Moriches (21-0) in its Game 1 win over No. 4 Mercy in the Suffolk Class B semifinals. Erin Creen went 4-for-5, with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored. Creen started in the circle, pitching six innings, allowing an earned run on six hits, striking out six and walking one for the victory. Center Moriches advances to the winner's bracket, where it will take on second-seeded Babylon, at 11 a.m. Saturday at Center Moriches. Mercy moves on to the loser's bracket, where it play at third-seeded and host No. 3 Hampton Bays.
