Half Hollow Hills West 5, Commack 4: Alyse McAlpine's RBI single in the seventh inning scored Nicole Graber and gave No. 15 Half Hollow Hills West a 4-3 lead over No. 2 Commack in the first round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. McAlpine scored the eventual game-winning run on a single by Gabby Casalino later in the inning. Commack stranded the tying run stranded on second base. Alexis Kleet allowed seven hits in seven innings. Half Hollow Hills West (11-9) plays at No. 7 Sachem East Wednesday.
