Ashley Melendez allowed a hits in two innings and Leanna Donahue allowed one hit in three innings to lead Island Trees (8-1) in AB-I. Melendez went 3-for-4 with three doubles and six RBIs, sophomore Kate Valente was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs in her first varsity start, and Gabby Scharff went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs.
