HIGHLIGHTS
Long Beach 1, Massapequa 0: Tonianne Larson scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the ninth inning as Long Beach (3-3) handed Massapequa (5-1) its first loss in Conference AA-I. Larson allowed two hits over nine scoreless innings, allowing two walks and striking out six. With runners on second and third and one out in the top of the eighth, shortstop Kelsey Larson fielded a grounder and fired home to catcher Meredith Fagan, who made the tag to keep the game scoreless. With the bases loaded and no out in the top of the ninth, second baseman Marisa Scandole fielded a grounder and got the force at home for the out. Larson struck out the next batter and then induced a fly ball to end the inning. Kelsey Larson went 2-for-4.
