Smithtown West 3, West Islip 2: Eighth grade rightfielder Gabby Lorefice's two-out, two-run single that plated Tara Killeen and Amber Meystrik gave Smithtown West (3-3) a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth during its League II win. Kim Plaspohl pitched a five-hitter, allowing two earned runs, striking out three and walking none for the victory. Plaspohl retired the final 12 batters in order.
