Commack 8, Floyd 1: Michelle Principe's three-run homer was the start of a four-run top of the fifth inning for Commack (5-1) in its League I win. Principe put the Cougars on top 5-0. Jill McFadzen went 2-for-2 with an RBI double in the second and a run scored. Freshman rightfielder Danielle Gambino's two-run single capped the game's scoring. Alyssa Bluethgen pitched a four-hitter, allowing an earned run, striking out six and walking three for the victory. Floyd's Jayna Rios hit a solo homer to right centerfield in the bottom of the sixth.
