Island Trees 2, Division 1: Sam Melendez's double to left field scored Kate Valente to give Island Trees (2-0) a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning in Conference A-I. Valente entered as a courtesy runner for pitcher Ashley Melendez, who belted a triple down the right field line. Ashley Melendez tossed a complete game and no-hit the Blue Dragons through the first five innings. She struck out six and allowed two hits and one run. Division made it 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth when Alexis Alvino hit an RBI double. Division loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, but Ashley Melendez induced two straight ground balls to end it. Sam Melendez finished 2-for-3 with the RBI and a run.
