Islip vs Rocky Point

Islip 5, Rocky Point 1: Vanessa Juengerkes struck out nine and walked none in a four-hitter to lead No. 5 Islip (17-7) over No. 2 Rocky Point in the Suffolk Class A losers bracket final. Juengerkes also went 4-for-4, Taylor Larson went 3-for-4, and Alexis Freudenberg went 2-for-3 for Islip. Islip took a 2-0 lead in the first inning before Freudenberg hit an RBI single in the second to make it 3-0. Larson hit a two-run double in the fourth to make it 5-1 Islip. Islip will play at Sayville in Thursday's county championship.
