Katherine Piorkowski pitched a three-hitter, allowing an earned run, striking out five and walking two in Kellenberg's 5-1 win over St. Francis Prep in the CHSAA state semifinals. The Firebirds (20-8) were also led by Kathryn Eiler, who was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a run. Krista King was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Piorkowski also went 1-for-2 with a run.
