Islip 3, Mt. Sinai 2: Alexis Freudenberg's two-run single gave No. 5 Islip a 3-0 lead over No. 3 Mt. Sinai in the fourth inning of a Suffolk Class A loser's bracket semifinal. Kristen Maratta’s groundout scored Vanessa Juengerkes for the first run. Juengerkes who went 3-for-3, also pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed one earned run and four hits and struck out six for the Buccaneers (16-7). Islip visits Rocky Point at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
