Commack 3, Whitman 0: Alyssa Bluethgen threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts, Alyssa Persich went 2-for-4 with a double and a run and Jessica Lodato hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to lead No. 6 Commack (16-5) over No. 11 Whitman in a Suffolk AA first round game. Commack will play the winner of Hills West/Patchogue-Medford on Monday in the quarterfinals.
