Northport 5, Whitman 0: Shannon Gloeckner pitched a no-hitter for Northport, striking out 10 to lead No. 8 Northport past No. 9 Whitman in the first round of the Suffolk AAA Double Elimination playoffs. Kiera Murphy went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Lily McCabe went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Abby Abbatiello had a sac fly in the bottom of the fourth inning and hit a three-run double in the bottom of the sixth. Brynn Iacovone had nine strikeouts for Whitman (14-7), which will play next on Monday at 10 a.m. at the higher seed. Northport (15-6) travels to No. 1 Sachem North at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
