HIGHLIGHTS
East Islip 9, West Babylon 8: Cate Ropiak went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBIs, three runs scored and threw a complete game as No. 1 East Islip defeated No. 5 West Babylon in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Kayla Varga had a two-out, two-strike double to drive in Sylvia Corso and Cate Ropiak to give East Islip a 9-8 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Alexa Leonard went 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored two runs. Sylvia Corso walked three times.
