HIGHLIGHTS
East Islip 18, East Hampton 0: Caitlin Ropiak hit a grand slam and scored three runs and struck out nine over five innings to lead top-seeded East Islip (15-6) past No. 8 East Hampton (11-9) in the first round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Ropiak combined with Sophia Corso on a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts. Alyssa Corso hit her sixth homer and Lexi Kneisel and Reagan O'Hara each had two hits and two RBIs. East Islip will host No. 5 West Babylon at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in a winner's bracket game and East Hampton will play at No. 4 Rocky Point at 4 p.m. Thursday in a loser's bracket game.
