HIGHLIGHTS
MacArthur 11, Calhoun 10: Angela Pellegrino had a two-out, two-run single in the top of the sixth inning to give MacArthur an 11-6 lead but Calhoun rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Alex Livanos got the final batter to line out to second base with runners on second and third as No. 4 MacArthur defeated No. 1 Calhoun in Game 3 of the Nassau Class AA semifinals. Savannah Brennan went 2-for-5, Hailey Trapani went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs and Gabby Silvestri went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the win. MacArthur took a 6-0 lead in the first inning but Calhoun answered with five runs in the bottom half of the inning. Calhoun finished 11-6. MacArthur (8-15) advances to play No. 2 Bellmore JFK (11-9) in the Nassau Class AA finals with Game 1 at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Farmingdale State College.
