West Islip 11, Deer Park 5: Emily Bouros went 4-for-4 with a grand slam, three doubles and had nine strikeouts in the circle to lead No. 2 West Islip over No. 5 Deer Park in the Suffolk Class AA winner's bracket final. Alex Gitomer-Dawson went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Alexa Ficalora went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI and Juliet Aguanno went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Leah Giana, Emma Taliercio-McNamara, Penelope Knoop, and Cadence Olsen also picked up hits for the Lions. For Deer Park, Jaylene Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Deer Park, which finished 15-7. West Islip (19-4) advances to the Suffolk Class AA championship at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Martha Avenue Complex in Bellport.
