Commack 14, Ward Melville 0: Alyssa Bluethgen, a sophomore, tossed her first no-hitter in her first varsity start, striking out 14 and allowing two walks to lead Commack (2-0) in League I. "She's like 6-2 and that gives her more velocity because her stride decreases," coach Harold Cooley said. "She has a definite presence on the mound." Bluethgen also went 2-for-5 with one RBI. Christina Rayfield went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs.
